Privacy Policy

Birth Mosaic stores your email address and authentication information through our backend provider (Supabase) so you can create and access your account. Your Birth Mosaic profiles — including names, birth information, results, chapter progress, calendar activity, and keepsakes — are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to Birth Mosaic’s database.

The authentication service stores your email address, user ID, a securely hashed password, and authentication logs. It does not store a readable password; passwords are kept as salted bcrypt hashes.

• No Birth Mosaic profile, birth detail, or result is stored remotely.
• No advertising trackers and no behavioural analytics.
• Profile information is never sold or shared.

You can reset a forgotten password from the log-in screen. We show a neutral confirmation and never reveal whether an email address is registered. The recovery link returns you to /reset-password, where you set a new password. Resetting a password restores account access, but it does not restore Birth Mosaic data that was deleted from your device.

Delete Account and All Data in Settings → Account erases your local profiles, results, calendar preferences, and progress, and permanently deletes your login account and its authentication record. No email request is necessary.

From Settings → Privacy & Data you can use Export My Birth Mosaic Data, Import a Birth Mosaic Backup, Delete Local Profile Data, and Delete Account and All Data. No deletion request is required and no review is involved.

Because your profiles live on your device, logging in on another device will not restore them, and clearing browser data, private browsing, uninstalling the app, or switching devices may erase them. Browsers may also evict locally stored data when storage runs low. Export a backup if you want to keep your mosaic.

The Research Library of books, websites, calculators, and cultural resources is retrieved from Birth Mosaic’s hosting service so citations stay current. These requests contain no personal or birth information and are not tied to a profile.

• Birth Mosaic does not receive or store complete card information.
• Payments are processed by the selected third-party payment provider.
• The processor handles transaction information under its own privacy policy.
• Payment records may have to be retained for financial, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes even when local Birth Mosaic profile data is deleted.

Contributions support the continued development and free availability of Birth Mosaic. Contributions are voluntary and are not tax-deductible unless expressly stated otherwise.

Birth Mosaic must only be operated by people who are 18 or older. Adults may create profiles for their children or other family members on their own device.

This policy will be finalised once the operating entity is confirmed. Until then, Birth Mosaic is described as “operated by the legal entity identified on this page.”
